Did you know that Generations For Peace is hosting a Refresher Workshop this week? Commencing tomorrow, a total of 28 volunteers from across eight nations will partake in a five day training focused on peace building and conflict transformation.

Which countries will be represented? Afghanistan, Ghana, Iraq, Pakistan, Sierra Leone, South Sudan, Sudan, and Uganda.

What is a Refresher Workshop? Unlike a Generations For Peace International Camp, a Refresher Workshop is meant to strengthen the core skills of existing GFP volunteers. Rather than equip them with advanced knowledge (as we do with our Advanced Trainings), the intention is to refresh their existing familiarity.

What makes this Refresher Workshop special? Generations For Peace takes pride in being a “learning organisation”. We adjust our curriculum as per the feedback we receive from our Delegates and according to best practices within the world of peace building. For this specific workshop, we have included significantly more practical sessions so that our volunteers emerge from the training equipped both theoretically and practically to carry out Generations For Peace programmes within their specific communities.

Stay tuned for regular updates during the Refresher Workshop!
