Inspired by the Art For Peace session, the Georgian Delegates decided to express their feelings of nationalism through images. When asked to describe Georgia in one word, they came up with the following:

Can you guess which is the highest mountain range in Europe? The Alps? Wrong! It is the Caucasus Mountains marking the border between Georgia and Russia.
How old is Georgia? While it declared itself a nation state in 1991, the area of present day Tbilisi has been inhabited by man since 4th millennium BC!
Have you heard of the ancient trade route, the Silk Road? Did you know that the it ran through Phazisi, Georgia linking Europe and China?
Georgia has been part of the empires of the Arabs, Romans, Seljuk Turks, Mongols, Ottoman Empire, Persia, Russian Empire, and consequently Soviet Russia.
The official language of Georgia is Georgian, a language with its own unique writing system – the Georgian alphabet. It has roots in Aramaic, one of the oldest languages of the world.
Did you know that Georgians do not refer to their country as Georgia? They call it Sakartvelo!
